Cuisine is defined as a style of cooking food. Every country has its own style of cooking. Thailand has a national cuisine known as the Thai cuisine. Thai chefs focus on balance, texture, taste and use of ingredients with good flavor, attention to details, color, and medicinal benefits. Rice is the staple grain of Thai people just like in most Asians cuisines. Rice is always the first and the most important part of any meal. Their farmers cultivate tens of thousands of rice varieties. Another staple ingredient found in their Cuisines is the fish sauce which is prepared by fermenting fish so as it can provide that salty flavor. The Fish sauces are of different varieties.

People use forks and spoons here while eating foods. Single dishes such as fried rice that have been served with pork, come in chunks or bite-size slice hence those eating need no knives. Two, three or more people are usually involved while enjoying Thais food. The purpose is to create a good environment and show togetherness. Not only does it apply to family member but also members of the public.

The food is internationally famous. Whether chili-hot or relatively ordinary, harmony is the guiding principle behind each dish they prepare. Basically, this cuisine is bringing together the eastern and western ways of preparing meals and coming up with a unique Cuisine. It all depends on who cooks it, for whom its cooked for, for what occasion and where its cooked.

Each time, people trip to Thailand from various parts of the planet. These trips popularly referred to as cooking tours because the visitors get pleasure from tasting and cooking food in Thailand.
