At times some people reveal that they are settling for organic food as part of their daily diets. This revelation clearly portrays that the individual will only eat genuine food and herbal seasoning blend. Genuine food is defined by the way agricultural products are processed and grown. Natural produce is grown with natural fertilizers like manure. One of the advantages of having a natural food diet is that the body gets the best nutrients.

The definition of this concept varies, depending on which country and area one resides in, but the basic requirements for something to be classified as organic require that it be grown with no use of synthetic pesticides, genetically modified organisms (GMO), petroleum-based and sludge sewage fertilizers.

With regards to dairy, meat and egg products, livestock kept should be given natural feed and not regular feed. In other words, the livestock being kept should not be induced with growth-enhancing hormones during breeding practices, and antibiotics and medication to fight and curb the disease.

If one is to compare this type of produce with conventionally-grown consumer plant products, there would be a few differences in terms of choice of fertilizer, a form of weed control used, and method of pest control. For standard consumer items, synthetic or chemical growth enhancers are used. Also, synthetic pesticides and chemical herbicides are the norms. For special, healthier products, pests stay under control using natural methods, and weeds are kept at bay through methods as crop rotation, handworked weeding, mulching, and tiling.

It might look like a herculean task to produce natural food, most importantly the advantages of that food are plenty. For an individual pristine produce has fewer pesticides like herbicides, fungicides, and insecticides. The produce is mostly fresh and does not contain additives to prolong its expiry date. This farming practice is good for the environment and helps in curbing pollution. It is the best for flora and fauna on the farm and surrounding farms as it has minimum effects. In short, this farming practice does not harm livestock and birds in that area and near-by areas.

A superficial word used for this great type of consuming natural food is GMO-free. GMO refers to Genetically Modified Organism. An organism that would have been genetically modified will have its DNA rearranged and the result is that the food harmful to the body.

The question on everyones lips is what happens when one goes one hundred percent organic? Studies show that the ingestion of chemicals and pesticides can increase the likelihood of developing diseases such as Hodgkins Disease, leukemia and other forms of cancer. Furthermore, there has been a positive link between the ingestion of pesticides and a children risk for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

Furthermore, the poisons in the food are likely to cause numerous diseases and medical ailments, like headaches, nausea, sexual harm, developmental constraints, endocrine disturbances, and impaired brain development. When a person now realizes the convenience and decides to opt for a natural diet, the person must embark on due diligence factoring in where to find genuine, pricing and availability. There are grocery shops which sell natural food produce and person particular with their health can enquire on how the products are priced.
